I’d like to say practice has been going swimmingly (pun intended) but a bad back last week meant that I only ventured to the pool to take the girls for their swim. Having a week off though has bizarrely reset my batteries. I’d really struggled with energy during my last two training sessions and being lapped by a fully clothed lifeguard (having a training session) didn’t help either! But this week I’m super keen to get back and into my medium speed lane. I’ve also got my sights set on my first practice open water swim next week which I’m looking forward to (ok ok, I’m just not thinking about it otherwise I’ll probably chicken out) And most excitingly, this weekend I get to meet all the other girls, walk the course and perhaps tip a toe in the water to test the temperature!
